About

Friends, neighbours, downtown dwellers, this is our place to gather—to reminisce, catch up and indulge.

Wilfred’s focuses on thoughtful, contemporary takes on classic coffee, food and drinks.

Our Place

Bright, beautiful and inviting, our café and diner blends nostalgia with new, old with original. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee at sunrise or savouring a glass of rosé after sunset, grabbing breakfast on the go or settling in for a long dinner—we’re open every meal of the day, from dawn to well past dusk.

Our Hood

Wilfred’s lives on the west edge of Oliver’s Brewery District in Edmonton, Alberta, nestled in a small, 100-year-old brick heritage building that was once part of the Molson Brewery that sits just North of us. From families large and small to young creatives and professionals, Oliver is one of Edmonton’s oldest communities, filled with diverse people from all walks of life. We hope to welcome all of our neighbours, friends and downtown dwellers here.

As the day softly breaks, Wilfred yawns. He pours a steaming coffee to sip. Then, he strolls along a peaceful pond, And dives in for a refreshing dip.

Wilfred & Co.

Wilfred is a fictional, well-dressed bear with a deep love for his friends, hearty meals and tasty brews.

Wilfred’s is named after the father of one of our owners. Family and community are near and dear to us, so we launched Wilfred’s to create happy memories with our loved ones and neighbours. Because we’re a local, family-owned restaurant, one of us will always be around, so be sure to say hi when you’re in!
